I Miss Good TV

I am so annoyed with TV lately. No shows are able to hold my attention right now. There are some "okay" shows that I will half watch, a couple of "good" shows I will watch (all in repeats right now of course), but nothing that I feel is "great". There's something nice about being excited to watch your favourite show on a specific night and looking forward to it all week. Does this just mean I have an extremely boring life, or does anyone else feel the same way?

Back in the good ole days I remember being so excited for Full House and TGIF. Then it turned into Wednesday nights for 90210. In university I loved Sundays because of Alias.. and now, well.. I got nothin.

There is hope though! Do not fret! I have a new possibility for a good show by Joss Whedon called Dollhouse.

This week will be the third episode and it airs on Friday nights at 9 on FOX. Not the best time slot, for sure, but if you have a PVR, you're good to go. Maybe I like it because it reminds me of Alias. The show is about "an underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas." They get hired by rich clients and go on crazy outings. M thinks I like it because the main character is a girl, and I'm all about girl power. True, true.

Here's hoping for the best!

  1. I know what you mean about nothing good to watch on tv. I hardly ever watch tv anymore.... I'll have to try out Dollhouse.. sounds interesting!!

  2. Other than Lost and Desperate Housewives, there is usually enough hockey on to fill my tv viewing time.

  3. I'm not sure the Sens are worth watching this season, plus all we get here are Leaf games.

  4. Lost and Battlestar Galactica are the only quality shows I look forward to each week, otherwise I watch a lot of TV-junk-food.

I'm still undecided on Dollhouse. The first episode was weak but the second was better.

  5. Romer, true.. the second episode has been the best so far. The third one was pretty awful. The fourth one will be great I hope?
