Action Shots

Today my school went skating so I got to practice my mad skillz. I was nervous because the kids assumed that I can skate and tried to hang all over me. They also wanted to chase me, which is pretty impossible because I can't exactly move too fast! So far I have not fallen, but it's only a matter of time! Especially when surrounded by kids falling around me and into me every five seconds! Here are the action shots of the day:
Pretty much the best work day ever!

  2. I take safety very seriously :)

No really, as of last week, it's mandatory for all teachers to wear helmets while skating (in my school board). But look at Patricia's - it's a Leaf's helmet toque, she's a rebel!

Does this make sense though - Grade 4s and up don't have to wear helmets!

  3. M, I should have worn your goalie mask and scared all the kids.

  4. I wondered why you were wearing a helmet! I think if the teachers have to wear one then all the students should have to also. But, probably a lot of them can't afford a helmet... then you wouldn't be able to take them skating. I bet you that you will soon be skating circles around M!!! You go girl!!!

  7. We did have fun, thanks!

Marn, I'd say half of the students own their own skates and helmets. We borrow the rest from other schools, so really there's no reason for them not to wear a helmet. So silly.

Our school also has not gone skating in many years because a kid broke his/her leg last time they went!
