Sick of Winter?

Now is about the time when everyone comments on how sick they are of winter. It's hard to believe, but we're only half way through!

One thing that makes winter more bearable for me is this...
Bama the dog lives for snow.
As soon as he sees the snow, his ears perk up and he gallops around like a puppy. He catches snowballs and eats them, licks snow up like it's water, and loves jumping into big piles.

How can I not enjoy the snow when this dog drags me around in it, like he's just won the milk bone lottery?

He looks very serious in this picture, but I assure you, he's loving every minute of it.
I feel like one of those crazy dog lovers I used to make fun of :)
Are you dreaming of summer yet?

  1. We still need to get out and do some skating before I can start officially dreaming of summer.

  2. Definitely dreaming of summer! I have terrible cabin fever! I even bought a stupid blue light :)

  3. Hopefully the canal is in good condition when we're in Ottawa!

Marina is the blue light helping? How do you use it?

  4. The canal is perfect right now so unless we get a thaw, and I dont think they are forecasting one, it should be good to go.

To use the blue light, you just set the timer for 20 minutes and sit with it to your side, not straight in your eyes, and read the paper or something while it shines on you. I've only used it a couple of times and so far I dont think I have felt any different. But I'll keep trying.

  5. I'm getting a little sick of winter but when I think of going down south soon, it makes me feel better. It can snow, snow, snow while I am gone.
